Chicago P.D. Season 4 is burning hot this fall! Last season Hank Voight is seen killing his son Justin’s murderer. He told his protege Lindsay (Sophia Bush) to get the hell out to prevent her from becoming a witness to the murder he was about to commit. Season 4 will go through the full extent of Voight’s (Jason Beghe) actions.
The premiere episode begins with Chicago’s intelligence unit investigating a murder-arson case. Further examination shows the victim was on a Chicago P.D.-issued wire when he died. Commander Crowley (Barbara Eve Harris) has had strong suspicions regarding Voight’s involvement in Justin’s case. She thinks that he killed his son’s murderer.
Then again, she has no proof to back this up. So she goes ahead and questions Lindsay about her and Voight’s whereabouts on the night of the murder. The time when the intelligence went after Justin’s killer.
Burgess Gets New Partner
In the meantime, Officer Kim Burgess played by Marina Squerciati has a new partner. Her name is Julie Tay played by Li Jun Li and she’s come doing the worst job in the city. She issues parking tickets! The duo responds to their first call and Tay opens up about her past.
Apparently, Tay put off all the sexual advances towards her by her commanding officer. He derailed her chances of having an amazing career all because she dumped him! Well, maybe that’s good enough reason for some.
On a lighter side, Lindsay and boyfriend Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) will now be living together. This season Lindsay will depend on her beau for support and some good advice. Especially now that she’s in a tight situation because of Voight.
Obviously, Voight isn’t going to get off the hook that easily. Especially now that a full investigation is launched and Commander Crowley will do everything for Lindsay to come out with the truth.
