After 30 years, who you gonna call? Yep, they are officially back.
After months of progress and hints for a new Ghostbuster movie and even a teaser for the trailer reveal, the very first official trailer for the new Ghostbusters movies has arrived. The two and a half minute trailer showcased the lead cast of the movie. Oh, and did we mention before that the new team will be an all-female team? Now that is awesome. Directed by Paul Feig, the new Ghostbuster movie will feature a new vibe but still have that sense of nostalgia.
The scene starts in a calm tone, but then it paces up when the heroines encounter a ghost, and the rest was good old classic Ghostbusters feel. The trailer showcased a mix of comedy, action and a bit of scares that you usually see in a Ghostbusters movie. Even if the first movie was out more than thirty years ago, if you watched the first two movies, you know it has that kind of vibe. We also get to see the team?s new vehicle: the ECTO-1. This time it came from a funeral car, which adds to the hilarity as the original ECTO-1 was based on a Futura Ambulance/Hearse combination, while in the new movie it is from a Cadillac, but used for funerals.
We also get to see the old and new arsenal from the team, the classic Proton Packs – the standard ghost capturing arsenal makes its return along with a new dual pistol weapon used by Kate McKinnon in the trailer. We also get to see Slimer once again as seen in a short glimpse from the trailer plus some new ghosts that are ravaging Times Square. We can see more of the Ghostbusters in action once it hits theaters in July 15. The film stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon.
