CES 2017 NVIDIA: Jen-Hsung Huang On NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
The most speculated thing on the Internet for a few months is expected to come out of Huang?s mouth. But unfortunately, there was none. Most of the people who watched the live stream were expecting Jen Hsung Huang to talk about?the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.
However, it appears that there?s no such thing as the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. ?NVIDIA?s CEO didn?t mention anything about the most anticipated 1080 Ti. As a result, a lot of people were disappointed. In fact, NVIDIA?s Livestream video on Facebook is filled with disappointed comments.
AMD Vega 10 GPU
And of course, there?s still another guy who will fill in the gaps. Apparently, AMD is going to showcase, as well as reveal, a lot more information about their Vega graphics card on January 5. Fortunately, people who have been expecting the GTX 1080 Ti and was very disappointed should turn their heads towards AMD instead.
Fortunately, AMD?s Ryzen CPU paired with an AMD Vega GPU looks really promising. As can be seen in the video below, a Ryzen CPU + Vega GPU combination is capable of running Star Wars Battlefront at 4K resolution at 60 FPS.
Hence, if a single AMD Vega GPU is capable of doing that, people are going to be excited to see what two of those would do. Furthermore, CES 2017 NVIDIA has undoubtedly disappointed a lot of people. It appears that the GTX 1080 Ti is nothing but a myth.
