Castle Season 9 Revival
Castle Season 9

Though ABC officially cancelled Castle Season 9 last month after airing the Season 8?s dramatic finale, recent rumors now apparently suggest otherwise.

Reports have emerged since then of ABC reviving the Castle Season 9 and further even claiming the next series of episodes are already in pre-production. While no official confirmation was given by the channel it is being touted that the actors who earlier had signed up to join season 9 are certainly joining the project once again.

Nathan Fillion will be returning as the lead actor playing novelist-turned-private investigator Richard Castle, and according to Master Herald, he is already doing a shoot-in for the TV series.

Seamus Dever, known for playing Detective Kevin Ryan, and his fellow supporting player, Jon Huertas as Javier Esposito, are expected to return for the potential ninth season. In addition, actors Molly Quinn, Toks Olagundoye and Susan Sullivan, too, are in serious discussion for their return to Castle.

However, fans will be sorely disappointed to learn that Stana Katic? Detective Kate Beckett still won?t be making it to the alleged next season. Neither will Katic?s on screen friend Tamala Jones return as Lanie Parish.

In fact, as showrunners had previously revealed that they had filmed alternative endings for Castle Season 8 Finale, fans are speculating that the other alternative ending which ends with a cliffhanger may be used for upcoming Castle season 9. The other ending, however, still doesn?t show Kate Beckett dead as earlier theories had suggested that show will be doing to suggest cutting off Katic?s character.

Additionally there are reports about a Castle spin-off series that will be premiered also in ABC?s upcoming fall season. Apparently, reports say the spin-off series is based on two installments of Nikki Heat?s novels including ?High Heat? and ?Heat Storm.? Some fans may not know that the novels about characters Derrick Storm and Nikki Heat were published under the pseudonym Richard Castle ,which achieved success becoming New York Times best-sellers. The spin-off series based on this books is said to be already in development.

Furthermore, reports suggest that ABC will rather be airing the Castle season 9 before the premiere of spin-off series, so fans are pretty much excited to catch on about the next adventures of Castle and his detective team.
