A new DC comics animated series has been revealed featuring some of the classic voice actors from the previous series.
More than a decade ago, Warner Bros. Animation launched the Justice League animated series. It became a hit animated series, and was soon followed by a much bigger Justice League Unlimited that showcased more of the DC Comics super heroes. It has been years after the series went off the air. Now,? Cartoon Network has finally revealed that they will be launching a new animated series called Justice League Action, which of course will be highlighting some of DC?s heavy hitters.
However, unlike its Justice League and Justice League Unlimited predecessors, Justice League Action will be following the same format as Teen Titans Go!, where it will feature some of the roster of the Justice League in shorter 11-minute segments, with each mini episode having its own story and adventure. Though some fans may be disappointed with the idea of following Teen Titans Go!?s format, which is catered more towards the younger audience, the producers will make sure that long-time fans will definitely enjoy the show as it will be bringing some of the famous voice actors from the previous DC Animated series.
That is right, they will be bringing back James Conroy as the Batman and Mark Hamill as the Joker. Both actors became famous after lending their voices to the two characters in Batman: The Animated Series in the mid 90?s. Some of the known voice actors are returning as well, including Batman Brave and the Bold?s Diedrich Bader, who will play as Booster Gold, and James Woods as Lex Luthor. No other details were revealed for the other DC characters, but so far some of the characters that will be featured in the include Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. The characters will have a new character design, which looks more anime-ish than your standard DC Animation designs. No details on when the series will be launching.
Justice League Action will be spearheaded by Butch Lukic (Justice League, Batman Beyond) as executive producer and Alan Burnett (Batman: The Animated Series) and Jim Krieg (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) serving as producers
