Carpool Karaoke Goes To Apple Music: What We Know So Far

?Carpool Karaoke? is emerging as an independent series, and Apple has announced buying the exclusive rights to host the show. The first show of Carpool Karaoke will air on Apple Music.

Carpool Karaoke is a segment in ?The Late Show with James Corden? in which James and musical guests sing along to their songs whilst driving in Los Angeles. The popularity of the segment has inspired its creator to launch it as a different show. The new series will be produced by CBS Television Studios and Fulwell 73. Although the start date is not confirmed yet, it is reported that James Corden and Ben Winston will executive produce the 16-part series. The first show will be available exclusively on Apple Music live streaming.

Apple?s senior vice-president of Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue has confirmed that Apple will buy exclusive rights to stream the show on Apple music, reported Music Business Worldwide.

“We love music, and Carpool Karaoke celebrates it in a fun and unique way that is a hit with audiences of all ages,” said Cue. “It’s a perfect fit for Apple Music – bringing subscribers exclusive access to their favourite artists and celebrities who come along for the ride.”

On the other hand, the production team of Carpool Karaoke is also excited about the deal with Apple. ?The Late Night Show? executive producer and founder of Fulwell 73, Ben Winston expressed his views about the partnership.

A Carpool Karaoke segment featuring Adele is the most famous segment. It reached 42 million views on YouTube channel within 5 days and by now, 119 million viewer have viewed the videos.
