Captain America Civil War Plot To Be Humorous? Falcon And Ant-Man Relationship Takes On Comedic Atmosphere

By on

It looks like Captain America Civil War will retain the humor from past Marvel movies despite the film tackling a complex storyline. Anthony Mackie (Falcon) has now revealed that he will be stabbing jokes with Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) during the movie.

?Paul Rudd and I just make fun of each other all the time, so it just carries over into the movie? Mackie told Cinemablend. ?So I respect his [Kansans City] Royals ? I?m putting for his Royals ? but we just make fun of each other all the time.?

This statement from Mackie hints that Falcon and Ant-Man will get along well with one another despite their previous bout. ?Yeah, our relationship is?yeah [laughs]. It grows in Civil War,? Mackie said.

In the Ant-Man movie, Falcon felt humiliated after he was beaten by Ant-Man. Falcon was also unable to defend his post as Ant-Man not only wrecked Falcon?s equipment, he also successfully stole an important item from their base. Falcon and Ant-Man are both on Captain America?s team in Civil War.

In a film about politics where the Avengers split-up into two sides because of opposing ideals, it?s good news for some that Captain America Civil War will not be overly dramatic. Marvel is also known for being able to showcase comedy in serious situations. Let?s just hope that the humor isn?t all well-placed in the story so it doesn?t detract from the tension and meaty story that Civil War has.

Numerous fans were pleased with how the Ant-Man movie handled comedy and they will be pleased that this might be carried out in Civil War. While supporting most of the recognition for superb delivery of humor was pointed to Michael Pena, many were also pleased with how Rudd delivered comedic lines in the film.

Captain America Civil War will hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
