It looks like we still won?t know for sure if the infinity stone wielding being, The Vision, will be a good or evil character in Captain America Civil War. Paul Bettany, the guy who voiced Tony Stark?s AI Jarvis and eventually became The Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron, has teased that his character in the Civil War movie will still be na?ve.
?He must be a force of good or a force of evil? And experiencing the world in real time and his place in it,? Bettany told audiences of the 2015 AsiaPOP Comic Convention in the Philippines as reported by PEP.
?Is he going to be a force of good or a force of evil? It was really interesting, fun to play with, because he?s dangerous, you don?t know if he?s going to go one way or another. I?m continuing that theme in Captain America 3.?
In Age of Ultron, Vision failed to clearly state if he was an ally of the Avengers. Vision only helped the team defeat Ultron because he said that he was ?on the side of life? while Ultron wasn?t. ?We know he?s ?on the side of life? but it didn?t outright say that he will side with Earth?s Mightiest Heroes,? Cinemablend reported.
Being na?ve and not knowing what?s right from wrong in a world that isn?t black and white is difficult when you have immense strength. The Vision will surely be put in a difficult situation in Captain America Civil War as the plot revolves on Steve Rogers and Stark fighting one another because of their opposing beliefs.
Staying True To The Comics
Bettany also revealed during the event how Marvel helped him prepare for the Civil War movie. ?I was given comics. I also was looking to think about what could be edifying for me to learn. I took the opportunity?you see my character get born? something unlikely to ever happen to me again.?
Captain America: Civil War will be released in cinemas on May 6, 2016.
