Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is no longer just about shooting people (or zombies). With the game coming out in less than a month, developer Treyarch has now unveiled a new parkour mode called Free Run and it looks a lot like the time trials mode from Mirror?s Edge.
The new Free Run mode was created to make players understand the new movement system in the game, Kotaku reported. You?ll sprint, use your thruster, and wall-run across horizontal and vertical platforms as fast as you can to earn the lowest time. Weapons play a minimal role in this mode as it is only used for shooting targets and if you fail to hit them, you will be penalized by an additional one-second time. The Free Run demo starts at 16:17 in the video below.
The matchmaking system has now been changed to favor network quality and game balancing between teams will only be done once lobbies have been created, Gamingbolt reported. This means that you?ll have to worry less about unresponsive battles. It remains to be seen if balancing issues will suffer from this new focus.
Those who have played past Call of Duty titles and reached certain levels in the multiplayer modes will receive corresponding rewards in Black Ops 3. The titles that will be covered include Black Ops 2, Ghosts, and Advanced Warfare, Gamingbolt reported. Take note that only the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions are covered by the rewards scheme.
Those who panicked about Cal of Duty Black Ops 3 being removed from the Xbox Store can now be at ease. The digital pre-orders for the game is now available on the Xbox Store again, Tech Times reported. ?Today, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 was yet again ready to be preordered on the Xbox Store,? Activision said in a statement. ?Not only one, but two are available: the Digital Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition.?
Call of Duty Black Ops 3 will be released on November 6 for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
