Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Kills It With New Zombies Mode

By on

When Call of Duty: Black Ops first released its game, people immediately took interest in its fun four player co-op zombie mode. Since then, people have associated the Black Ops series with zombies. Game Developer Treyarch continued to capitalize on their success as they first announced details for their zombie mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 called ?Shadows of Evil? featuring a gritty 1940?s film-noir narrative.

As seen in the new trailer which was also shown at the San Diego Comic Con, male and female zombies now wear fancy looking hats and jackets. While zombies still seem to be the normal fare of enemies, alien looking creatures have also been added to the mix. A three headed alien Cerberus with tentacles was also shown in the video, probably as a boss. ?There are now also giant green colored alien insects that explode on a big pulp of goo when killed.

Treyarch seems to have made the whole ?Shadows of Evile? look wacky as characters have the ability to spring tentacles from their body out of nowhere which can easily overpower enemies and kill thin in a single hit. Samurai swords, shields that zoom towards the enemies were also showed. Characters can even acquire power-ups by getting candy from a gumball machine.

Treyarch Studio Head Mark Lamia said they are crafting a unique and ?face-melting gameplay experience? for their community. ?The development team has packed Shadows of Evil with more gameplay and fun than any other experience before it, and has an appropriately twisted and deep narrative, performed by fantastic acting talent, that will keep our fans spinning,? Lamia said in a statement.

Lamia really meant it when he said they were bringing a fantastic acting talent to the game as it comprised of an all-star voice cast which included Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, Ron Perlman, and Robert Picardo. The four protagonists will take the voice of a magician, a femme-fatale, a cop, and a boxer.

Juggernog Edition Comes With Working Mini-Fridge

Priced at around $195, buyers of the limited edition can get a ?Juggernog themed mini-fridge? which can hold 12 pieces of 12oz cans and also emits light and audio from the game. Also included is a perk-a-Cola Coaster Set with tin, a season pass to get access to four DLC packs, limited edition concept art-cards, Giant bonus map, collectable steelbook, official game soundtrack, and in-game bonus contents.

CoD: Black Ops 3 will launch its multiplayer beta on August 19th exclusively on Playstation as it was announced in Sony?s E3 conference that their consoles will be the new home of Call of Duty.

Call of Duty will launch on Novermber 6 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
