?Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Beta? Fixes And New Multiplayer Maps Revealed

New information for the multiplayer mode on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

A new multiplayer map has been revealed by Activision and Treyarch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, as well as a new Specialist character in the game. Featured in their weekly video series, the new multiplayer map will be called Redwood and the Specialist character, which is the ninth confirmed in the game, will be called Firebreak, you can check out the details at the video below with commentaries from multiplayer designer Dan Bunting and design director David Vonderhaar.

Redwood map is located at the Redwood Forest of northern California, it will be a very much different map from the entire Call of Duty game franchise and will be the last multiplayer map develop for the game. The new Specialist class, Firebreak is more focused on fire powers, it wields a flamethrower called the Purifier that is specialize in clearing out rooms, Firebreak will also have an ability called Heat Wave, where it can incapacitates enemies with a blast of heat.

Meanwhile the beta from Black Ops 3 have improved some of the features in multiplayer when it arrives on launch day, here are the list that were fixed from the feedback in the community.

  • The PC Beta didn?t include final performance optimizations. Work on this being completed and will improve performance thanks to working with ?hardware partners? on optimized drivers.
  • There were problems pertaining to the game being ?floaty? or ?laggy.? The problem was found and fixed.
  • Certain networking configurations had trouble connecting to online services. This compatibility issue was fixed.
  • Various crashes, freezes, or other bugs are being dissected and many of the bugs pertaining to crashes a freezes have been squished.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be available on November 6 for the home consoles and PC, the last generation consoles such as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will not have campaign missions and will only feature the multiplayer mode.
