Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered

Recently, an interview to Raven Software?s David Pellas about the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered included talks about how six additional maps will be free for the game. However, Pellas may have indirectly confirmed of a standalone Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered copy as well. Here?s what we know so far.

Free maps and Vague Standalone PR

According to Gamereactor, players will receive the six additional multiplayer maps in postrelease of Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered. However, Pellas mentioned about two ways of getting the game. It?s either with the regular Infinite Warfare bundle or those ?who owns it? which could be the standalone release. Pellas also entertained questions about the fans asking the remaster to be standalone. However, the answers were mostly vague and just stating they were open to releasing the game standalone if the fans really want it to be that way.

Infinite Warfare Dislike

Previously, massive dislikes stacked upon the Call of Duty Infinite Warfare reveal trailer video. The video now stands on 529,471 likes and 3.252,757 dislikes. It?s possible that most Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered fans may just want to play this remastered release but not the new Call of Duty game. A standalone Modern Warfare Remastered release might be able to show a clear gap in audience interest between the two releases if pushed through.

Modern Warfare hype

The six maps to be received postrelease are confirmed to be free, says Pellas. Fans will be able to enjoy ten multiplayer maps while waiting for its release. Pellas also described the remaster to be similar to the older game but with graphical and animation improvements thrown in. However, some moves introduced in the latter Call of Duty entries like dive proning and wall walks may not be included in the game. However, this Call of Duty entry may only need the Sprint mechanic to preserve its speedy pace. The Call of Duty series could be credited as one of innovators of the first person shooters due to giving extra movement options to players. For now, we can only wait if Activision, Infinity Ward and Raven Software does release Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered as a standalone copy.
