Activision will have an upcoming Game Developer Conference this coming March 16. The talk will be about Call of Duty Black Ops 3 latency. As it is a public appearance for Call of Duty Black Ops 3, it may be an avenue for the announcement of the upcoming DLC 2 of the game. No official details have been revealed about Call of Duty Black Ops 3 DLC 2, but here?s what we can expect to appear in it.
More maps from previous games
Some of the maps from the previous Black Ops entries have already been released as a DLC map on Awakening DLC pack. Hijacked from Call of Duty Black Ops 2 has been reimagined as ?Skyjacked? in Black Ops 3. While the new map retains most of its predecessor?s map layout, Treyarch and Activision made sure to add new twists to it such as the hole connecting the lower part of the ship and the pathway attached to the side of the ship.
The Kowloon map from the first Black Ops might be a good pick for the new DLC due to its rooftop layout which focuses on elevation advantage. With Black Ops 3?s new movement systems, Kowloon?s map layout will be able to shine even brighter due to new routes that were previously inaccessible in the first Black Ops systems. Here?s a video from Chris Smoove on what Kowloon looks like in-game.
Another Zombies map
It?ll definitely be a bummer if the Call of Duty Black Ops 3 DLC 2 didn?t have another Zombies map. The Call of Duty Zombies Reddit discusses a possible ?island? as the DLC 2 Zombies map. Zombies fans on Reddit speculate that a ?Shangri-La 2.0? map or at least a continuation of the Shangri-La Zombies map from the first Black Ops Zombies is the possible ?Island? Zombies map. However, we?ll have to wait till the DLC 2 is released to confirm what its actual inclusions are.
We have at least two weeks before the leaked April 5 release date of Call of Duty Black Ops 3 DLC, as stated in an article from videogamesblogger. As for now, let?s see if Activision will announce any update in the GDC talk on March 16. Stay updated on Call of Duty Black Ops 3 news on TheBitBag.
