Canadian Music Hall of Famer Bryan Adams recently announced details about his upcoming North American tour to promote his latest album.
The 55-year old singer-songwriter just released his thirteenth studio album ?Get Up? this month, which was produced by ELO frontman Jeff Lynne?and co-written with?Jim Vallance.
The album features 13 songs ? 9 new songs and 4 acoustic versions ? that include the lead single ?Brand New Day? (check out the music video that features award-winning actress Helena Bonham Carter aka Bellatrix Lestrange), an upbeat and feel-good song that?s reminiscent of ?Summer of ?69?; the groovy shimmy-inducing country-sounding ?You Belong To Me?; and the track ?Don?t Even Try?, which he created with a ?60?s sound in mind.
Coming into the music scene in 1980 with his self-titled release, it?s clear to see why Adams is one of the music industry?s most enduring artists with this latest album where he showcases a fresh and current sound while still maintaining his inimitable quality. He celebrated his 25th?anniversary in the industry with the release of a two-disc CD collection entitled ?Anthology.?
A multiple Grammy nominee, Grammy Award winner and multiple Juno Award recipient, Adams has sold more than 65 million records and is known for his songs ?Heaven?, ?(Everything I Do) I Do It for You”, “Please Forgive Me.” Adams is also active with philanthropic work and received the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award in 2010.
Promoted by Live Nation, the Get Up Tour will start off in New York City?s Beacon Theatre on February 11, 2016 and will hit other cities including Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Miami, Houston, Detroit, Toronto and Chicago. The tour?s last stop will be at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut slated for July 2016.
