Rumors are sprawling that a live adaptation of Boruto Naruto The Movie?is already sealed because of the success the?anime film has garnered Japan. The ninja animated film has set records in the land of the rising sun and some believe that its success can help seal the deal for a Boruto Naruto The Movie live-action Film.
Lionsgate was previously reported to be undergoing negotiations to produce a Boruto Naruto The Movie live action film. Michael Gracey, a former visual effects specialist, has already been signed by Lionsgate to direct the movie adaptation with Avi Arad and Ari Arad producing the film, Variety reported.
According to Yibada, it is still unconfirmed if the live-action film will be a direct adaptation of the animated Boruto Naruto The Movie. However, Lionsgate is reportedly negotiating with Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto in order for the studios to procure the copyright for the movie.
No official announcement has been made on the status of the negotiations. Maybe the studio and Kishimoto are both waiting to see if the animated movie replicates the success abroad? If that?s the case, we may have to wait for a long while as we still have a long way to go before the film releases stateside on October 10, 2015.? Other Animated Movies Set For A Live Action Adaptation
According to BreatheTheCast, Boruto Naruto The Movie isn?t the only animated film that studios are planning to cash-in with a live action movie. Despite the horrible reception and box office showing of Speed Racer and Dragon Ball Evolution, more live-action films are planned such as Akira and Death Note.
A Ghost in The Shell movie is also planned as actress Scarlett Johansson has already been locked to play the lead role of Major Motoko Kusanagi, Screen Rant reported. The Ghost in The Shell movie starring Johansson is already set to hit theaters in April 14, 2017.
