This sparked speculations that Momoshiki and Kinshiki will be the major villains in the upcoming anime series. Shin Uchiha will also be one of the villains.

There were also talks over the past months that the upcoming Boruto series will feature an expanded version of the Chunin exam. So far, we have seen tournament matches featuring Sarada, Mitsuki, Metal Lee and other young genins. However, the story was not much elaborated because the screen time was limited.
