Bloodborne Emergency Maintenance Service Is A Mystery, Free DLC Caused Glitch? Details Here

By on

Gamers were surprised about the sudden appearance of server maintenance on their screens when they attempted to play ?Bloodborne? online. This unannounced maintenance has caused some players panic and dismay due to their statement that the online mode will be down for ?a few days.?

Mysterious Server Maintenance

Sony and From Software haven?t officially released a statement concerning the abrupt server maintenance for the game but the problem is: ?a few days? for Bloodborne gamers is a prolonged time. And since the game?s one and only DLC add-on, ?The Old Hunters,? has just been released, people are itching to play the game already.

Statement from the Twitter account for Bloodborne in Japan:

?We are currently conducting emergency maintenance on the game servers. The maintenance should be complete within a few days. We will update you again once the maintenance ends.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for playing Bloodborne.?

On the other, Bloodborne game lead hosting engineer Tim Wernicke, one of the few developers that take their time in reading the game?s subreddit, also posted a statement regarding the server maintenance.

Tim Wernicke statement from Reddit:

?Thanks to the community here, we?ve received some really important feedback about an exploit and serious issues that exist in the game. The game is currently undergoing emergency maintenance, and we?re working non-stop to get some things patched and back online. So a huge thank-you to everyone here for the feedback, and please be patient while we work to get things restored.

I apologize that I can?t be more specific, but I wanted to let you know that we value your feedback, and what you?re doing here is really helping. So, thanks!?

Free DLC glitch

Reports have stated that the exploit Wernicke was talking about would be the ?Old Hunter free DLC glitch? posted a few days ago by a reddit user concerning the free access to the game?s online mode. The post has since been removed and according to reports, ?several users claimed whatever trick had been originally listed did free give access.?
