One of Japan?s most loved manga series ?Bleach? is coming to an end. This was revealed on the 73rd volume of Tite Kubo?s Bleach manga series. On Monday, it was revealed that the 74th volume of the series will be the last and copies of the final volume are expected to ship this fall. Prior to the announcement, Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on its 31st issue may have hinted the upcoming ending of the Bleach manga series.
In 2001, Tite Kubo launched the Bleach manga series on the Weekly Shonen Jump and it was in 2012 that the final arc of the series was announced. Viz Media is responsible for publishing the manga series in Northern America via digital publication. Now, it looks like the whole thing is approaching the end of the tunnel as the final storyline will be revealed on the the 74th issue.
The successful run of the Bleach manga series also resulted to several versions, such as the long time running anime version of Bleach. From 2004 to 2012, Viz media acquired the TV licensing of the anime as well as some rights to home videos in 2006. A synopsis of the anime version says ?For as long as he can remember, Ichigo Kurosaki has been able to see ghosts. But when he meets Rukia, a Soul Reaper who battles evil spirits known as Hollows, his life is changed forever. Now, with a newfound wealth of spiritual energy, Ichigo discovers his true calling?to protect the world of the living and the dead as a Substitute Soul Reaper. When Rukia is taken away to face the ruthless justice of the Soul Society, Ichigo and his friends must cross over and do battle in the spirit world.?
The Bleach franchise has ventured in different platforms aside from manga and anime. Other versions include a series of video games and novels as well as four anime-inspired films in the past.
