It was confirmed on Monday via 2016’s combined 36th/37th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine that the last Bleach manga chapter will be included on their next issue.? It is said to be published by Tite Kubo. Fans could expect an important announcement from the upcoming issue when Shueisha ships on August 22.
In February 2012, the manga started with its final story arc. The manga’s 73rd volume carried the disheartening news that the 74th volume will be its last. According to Hisashi Sasaki, the former editor-in-chief of Weekly Shonen Jump and now the Vice President for Global Shonen Jump at Viz, the manga is set to end in less than 10 weeks. It was also announced on Monday that Bleach manga is hitting its climax in the two chapters that are about to be released.
During the Weekly Shonen Jump in 2001, Kubo introduced the manga. Its 73rd volume was published by Shueisha on July 4. Since new chapters are being printed in Japan, Viz Media decided to distribute the manga in North America digitally in English. The same company also released the printed version of the manga. The 66th volume was published in March 1. In July 5, the 67th volume was published.
The manga appealed to more audiences when it inspired a television anime adaptation which was aired from 2004-2012. It completed a total of 366 episodes. The series was also seen in Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. It was dubbed in English. In 2014, all of its episodes were aired. Fans are now looking forward to the launch of another anime series on the small screen. Viz Media recently announced that it will release the TV anime series on Blu-ray Disc, and the first volume shipped on July 19.
Aside from television series, the manga also inspired novels, video games, stage musical adaptations and even films. The latest entry of a stage musical adaptation currently runs until Thursday, August 4.
