2K?s Bioshock series is one first-person epic that players surely must?ve played at least once in their lives. The release of a collection featuring the three games has been circulating the rumor mill for a long time now due to several leaks regarding the game. The latest leak now comes from 2K themselves, so that means all that?s left to wait for is the actual Bioshock The Collection to launch.
According to Dualshockers, the 2K website recently outed the Bioshock The Collection on its website very briefly. The now unavailable promotional image only proves the 2K is indeed bundling the series in one action-packed collection. Fans expected the collection to be revealed at E3 2016 but to no avail.
The promotional image itself didn?t reveal much information so there?s not much to be gotten from it aside from the collection?s existence. Fans are speculating that the collection isn?t merely just a re-release of the game, but it might get graphical and performance enhancements as well since it should be geared for new gen consoles.
The first two games were released way back and the graphics are already outdated for this era. It?s likely that the developer will take advantage of the power that the current gen has to ensure that the game looks better. As for Bioshock Infinite, the visuals are already impressive enough that 2K just might add the DLCs to the game instead.
Bioshock The Collection is expected to have the first two games, as well as Bioshock Infinite. The third entry is playable in new gen consoles but the first two games have yet to reach PS4 and Xbox One platforms so it?s only fitting that we get an updated collection.
When the collection of the Bioshock series is released, those new to the shooter game should surely secure themselves a copy as the series itself is good and is a must-play for any player. Meanwhile, those already akin to the series might enjoy it still, considering that there might be enhancements added to it.
