During a recent conference call by Take-Two Interactive some insight was given on the recent Bioshock 2 delay. They were quick to assure everyone that the cause was not based on problems with any of the platforms. The reasons cited were that they are “giving the game the time it needs” and that a side benefit was that the game would be released at a much calmer time on the release calendar, rather than when all the big titles are coming out at once. No details were given, however, on what exactly was meant by “fiscal 2010”, so we’ll all have to wait for a more specific release window.
UPDATE: Their definition of “fiscal 2010” in calender terms is the first half of 2010. So expect Bioshock 2 on store shelves sometime between January and June.
