The Binding of Isaac was a breakout success when it first made its debut back in 2011. The game gained both respect and attention to the indie game scene. The game was able to create its own cult following with its creative roguelike gameplay and has since inspired other games to pick up on its mechanics.
And after years since the last Binding of Isaac game, the world is finally greeted with new content. The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth is the latest DLC in the franchise and has now officially gone live on Steam today.
The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth has been officially revealed on Steam and should be live any time today. The new DLC is a big updated expansion for the last game, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.
The latest DLC will reveal new bizarre treasures and and new bizarre super human powers for Isaac. With new powers in the player?s disposal, Isaac will be able to fight off droves of new mysterious creatures that will be introduced in this new DLC. New secrets and twist also be revealed in Afterbirth.
The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth may just be a DLC and not a whole new expansion, but it?s set to bring a lot to the table. The DLC is expected to add at least more than a 100 hours more gameplay with an expanded main game with a new final area and final boss.
In addition, many new features will be added into the game. Some new features are: Greed Mode, New Weapon Combo System, and Daily Runs.
The only downside to the coming of the new DLC is that it is the last for Binding of Isaac franchise. Creator Edmund McMillen reveals that the Afterbirth expansion will “close the book on a five-year journey.”?
