Bindi Irwin showed off some kick-ass dance moves on the latest episode of Dancing With The Stars.
Fan favorite Irwin and professional dance partner Derek Hough earned a perfect score of 40 for their Dirty Dancing movie-inspired rumba to “(I’ve Had) the Time of My Life on Monday night’s episode of Dancing With the Stars, reported CNN.
Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey, who played Baby and danced the original choreography with the late Patrick Swayze in the movie, stopped by rehearsals to chat with the pair. The key is to trust, she told them.
Also, while doing the iconic lift, Bindi did not have any wardrobe malfunction either. ?You can’t over practice it because you just like gas yourself out, you know. We’re out here, we’re doing it, and we were getting it up there, but the dress kept slipping, so we were just extra nervous,? Derek explained. Wardrobe malfunction alert! So what did they do? Right before they went on stage, Derek said he had wardrobe sew Bindi’s dress to her underwear. ?Cut they string and we went out there,? he said. ?Thank goodness they did that,? states E Online.
According to Fox News, Irwin’s mom Terri sobbed in the audience after watching Hough lift her daughter during ?(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,? and guest judge Olivia Newton-John raved, ?It touched my heart.?
After the show, Irwin told FOX411, ?It was amazing. Going out there, I was so, so terrified, just because it was so different from anything that we’ve done yet in this competition so I was scared but Derek was so strong and we managed to get that lift. I’m thrilled.?
Way to go Bindi.
