Bella Hadid and The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) finally called it quits after almost two years of being a couple. Their relationship simply could not survive their super hectic schedules, an insider said.
A source close to the singer said, “They still have a great deal of love and respect for each other and will remain friends, but it has been too hard to coordinate their schedules with him finishing and promoting his upcoming album. They really tried to make it work.”
When They First Laid Eyes On Each Other
Hadid and The Weeknd first locked eyes when the Grammy awardee asked Hadid to model for the artwork that was going to be used for his breakthrough album Beauty Behind the Madness in April of last year. Bella is Gigi Hadid’s younger sister, and is the daughter of Yolanda Fraser of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Bella Hadid was also featured in The Weekend?s music video entitled In the Night. He later admitted to Rolling Stone that the real motive was to literally work with her.
The couple first stepped out publicly during the 2016 Grammy Awards. Hadid even gushed about how she loved dating ‘Abel’. She said she does not see him as The Weeknd. Sure, she is proud of The Weeknd and his music, but she really loves Abel.
The pair was last seen together in Tokyo last month. Come November 30 they will reunite professionally during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. This will be shot in Paris and will air this coming December. Bella is one of the Victoria Secret Angels while The Weeknd will be performing his new song.
Guys, if it is just the sched, find a way to work around it. True love like yours is hard to come across these days. As long as you have love and respect for one another and remain friends, things will work out just fine.
