Beauty and the Beast Season 4 will be the last of the series according to CW in an announcement made last Tuesday. Despite garnering an average number of viewers, it wasn?t enough to set plans for a brand new season. Nielsen, according to reports said ?Beauty and the Beast? has never been much of a ratings performer, averaging a 0.6 rating in 18-49 and 1.6 million total viewers in ?live plus same-day? estimates for its premiere season in 2012-13. It seemed touch-and-go that it would receive a third season and the numbers proved why: Season 3, which premiered in June, averaged a 0.23 in the demo and nearly 900,000 same-day total viewers.?
Meanwhile, Beauty and the Beast Season 4 Ep 10 will cancel its airing tonight and proceed to continue on the 11th of August. Episode 9 entitled ?The Getaway? left viewers wondering on what would happen to Kat (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) after they went into hiding. Apparently, a reporter named Grace Rose (Melissa Tang) discovered their secret and has made their lives a living nightmare by chasing them down for maybe an interview.
Beauty and the Beast Season 4 Ep 9 also reveals Cat eventually wanting to talk to the reporter in hopes that they will stop chasing them once the secret is out. Unfortunately, Rose will get killed before she can interview Cat and Vincent.
Beauty and the Beast Season 4 Ep 10 entitled ?Means to an End? will deliver another surprise as Tess (Nina Lisandrello) barged into Cat?s home along with the authorities, telling her that she?s under arrest. JT (Austin Basis) apparently told Tess to stop protecting Cat and Vincent. Unfortunately for Cat, this will come as a surprise knowing she and Tess aren?t on the same boat now.
Could it be that Tess is working on a plot to let Cat and Vincent out of the risky situation? Or has Tess really sided with the authorities and is seriously working on arresting Cat? Don?t miss the upcoming episodes of Beauty and the Beast Season 4 starting on Thursday, Aug. 11, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
