Fans of Beauty and the Beast have a lot to take in this month as more news related to the live-action film is being reported. To add to the excitement, it was announced at San Diego Comic Con that Beauty and the Beast will now have a manga adaptation!
As reported by animenewsnetwork during the Tokyopop Relaunch Panel at the San Diego Comic Con, Tokyopop founder, Stu Levy, announced that Tokyopop will produce and release the manga adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. The said manga will be based on the upcoming 2017 Disney live-action film, starring Emma Watson.
The Beauty and the Beast manga will have two volumes, with one part showcasing Belle?s perspective and the second part, the Beast?s perspective. Stu also said that the manga will feature original art from Japan. No news yet as to when Beauty and the Beast manga will be launched but fans can expect it will probably be after the live-action film?s premiere.
During the event, Tokyopop also announced the release date of other Disney manga adaptations this year, such as, Yumi Tsukirino?s Stitch and Jun Asuga?s The Nightmare Before Christmas (Tim Burton).

25th Anniversary Edition
This September, Disney?s treasured animation of Beauty and the Beast will release a 25th Anniversary Edition, which will be included in The Walt Disney Signature Collection.
This 25th Anniversary Edition will feature four versions of the 1991 animated musical including: The original theatrical film; an extended version ?with the ?Human Again? song; plus a bonus home entertainment sing-along version.
