Exciting things are coming for gamers and fans of Mr. Robot and True Detective as a Battlefield TV series can be expected in the near future.

The creators of the psychedelic techno-thriller and the true-crime drama, which are both critically-acclaimed, will team up with Paramount TV for the TV adaptation of the EA multiplayer game. Paramount TV in partnership with Anonymous Content, the studio behind the two shows, ?has optioned the rights to a TV version of the game.

Paramount released a statement announcing the new project. ?Paramount TV actively seeks smart content from all sectors that will resonate with audiences and translate to compelling programming,? Paramount TV President Amy Powell said. ?EA?s ?Battlefield? has an incredibly dynamic narrative, coupled with a loyal fan base, which will allow us to bring this exciting and unique property to the small screen. We look forward to working with EA and Anonymous Content and thank Michael Sugar for his tenacity in bringing us this exciting project.?

While Michael Sugar of Anonymous Content said, ?Battlefield has a tremendous built-in, engaged fan base, making it a highly coveted piece of IP primed for long-form adaptation. Together with EA and Paramount TV, we?ll develop the Battlefield TV series with the same commitment to robust storytelling that has made the game such a runaway success for nearly fifteen years.?

EA executive vice president Patrick S?derlund added that Battlefield is one of the most loved games among their players and they are thrilled to be introducing the game through a new medium with Paramount TV and Anonymous Content.

If you haven?t seen the two shows from Anonymous Content, then there?s no need to worry as the EA TV adaptation is in good hands. The two shows, which are from the USA Network and HBO, are a ?tour-de-force? of television production, as Digital Spy writes. Their gritty and gripping creative and directorial style will give gamers something to look forward to outside the videogame medium.

There are no further details on production schedule, plot, target release date and cast. So in the meantime, you can check out Mr. Robot and True Detective (Season 1 most especially). Both shows are worth obsessing over, and surely the Battlefield TV Series will not disappoint.
