Battlefield 4 console players may soon experience rental multiplayer servers according to EA Games.
Battlefield 4 Rental Servers
Electronic Arts is soon to announce upcoming rental multiplayer servers for console players of Battlefield 4. Spokesperson from EA Games answered inquiries regarding rental servers and it is indeed coming very soon.
?Indeed, it is coming. I?m afraid we don?t have any information on this quite yet, but it is coming soon! Keep your eyes peeled on the Control Room and Battlefield blog, as those are most likely where you?ll see it announced first,? spokesperson posted at Battlefield 4 Battlelog site.
Currently, Battlefield 4 players are unable to customise map rotations of servers or modify options such as mini-map in Hardcore mode on console gaming devices like Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
But if EA Games implement rental servers, console players can customise the maps according to their desired experience.
DICE creative director Lars Gustavsson expressed thoughts regarding possible admin abuse and players getting the feeling of being punished.
?We?ve definitely heard the community and we experience it ourselves. What we?ve done is we?ve introduced a new system where basically we have pre-defined scales, so if you?re within certain boundaries it will be an official server, which means that people who use ? for example ? quick match , will be slotted into this. You will be guaranteed a good Battlefield experience,? stated about Battlefield 3 rental server quoted by IGN.
Ongoing Bug Fixes
But before console players can get access to rental servers, DICE is still working on several game glitches that plagues Battlefield 4 multiplayer mode.
?We are working on fixing glitches in your immediate interactions with the game world: the way you move and shoot, the feedback when you?re hit, and the way the other players? actions re shown on your screen,? update status on Battlefield 4.
Apparently, there are several known gaming glitches which can definitely affect the gaming experience.
- Rubber Banding: Randomly flung around the map and yanked back to the spot occupied before.
- Kill Camera Delay: At certain times, the kill cam starts before receiving the last bit of damages as if you died early.
- Unable to Damage Opponent: Happens during clear impact of bullets to the enemy.
- Instant Death Sprint: High speed catapulting and collision to object causes instead death.
Fixed bugs by DICE:
- Disappearance of crosshairs.
- Proper timing of hit and impact sounds.
- Zero health on an alive opponent.
- Unable to shoot past objects that were destroyed.
These glitches may be one of the reasons why Battlefield 4 hasn?t been able to support rental servers. However, it is good news for console players that EA Games are coming up with the idea like in Battlefield 3.
