Battlefield 3 on PC is Totally Free, But For How Long?

Great news for those who haven?t purchase the Battlefield 3 yet as Electronic Arts (EA) has just announced that it will be totally free on PC for a whole week!

Yes! This announcement posted on the official website reads:

??Battlefield 3 for PC is absolutely free for a limited time with Origin On the House. You read that right. Battlefield 3 on PC is totally free, but only for a week.?

Battlefield fans must add it to their Origin game library and ?it?s yours to keep forever.? You can download Battlefield 3 on PC right now, for free, but only until June 3.


Battlefield 3 is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts. This game combines battles across single-player, co-operative and multiplayer modes. Battlefield 3 is the direct sequel to 2005’s Battlefield 2, and the 11th installment in the Battlefield franchise.


In Battlefield 3, players take the role of several military men: a U.S. Marine, an F18 weapons system officer, an M1A2 Abrams tank operator, and a Spetsnaz GRU operative. The game will follow the life and story of of Sergeant Henry Blackburn and Dimitri Mayakovsky. And this will take place in different places, including Iran and New York City.


The game was released last 2011 in North America (October 25) and in Europe (October 28) for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 while the PC version is exclusive to EA’s Origin platform.

Battlefield 3 has received more than 60 awards from press worldwide and over 100 awards, including ‘Best Action Game’ and ‘best Online Multiplayer Game.?


Aside from the free Battlefield 3 for a week, EA also announced that Plants vs. Zombies on PC and Mac is also free with Origin On the House.

EA also reminded fans to check on the EA Tuesday Exclusive and Origin Free Code Friday for more chances to score free.
