Battlefield 1 is anticipated by many gamers, thanks to the game’s World War 1 setting and the new features it might have with it. While fans are expecting all the details to be revealed in Gamescom 2016, it seems like those details have been leaked. Not only were some of the game’s maps leaked, but a gameplay teaser was also revealed, possibly hinting at new gameplay elements.
The short gameplay teaser shows plenty of Horseback Riding, so it seems like that could be a big part of the game. This is pretty understandable given the setting, and it should make the game feel different from the previous titles in the shooter series, since they were set in more modern wars with jets and jeeps.
The said gameplay teaser can be seen below?and is ridiculously brief, ending in about five or six seconds, with an official trailer coming out on August 15. Still, it did show some new gameplay elements, along with a few storyline ones that might make this one of the darker games in the series. The addition of flamethrowers should also be fun, since gamers like setting things on fire.
Battlefield 1 will also have a bunch of historically accurate maps, some of which were revealed in the game’s official website. However, there are a few that have been blurred out, so it seems like this was meant to be a surprise, though fans have already found out what it was and EA has now blurred it. Fans on Reddit have been fairly excited for the Trenches of Ypres, which is the blurred out map on the game’s website, and it seems like this shooter is going to make plenty of people happy.
Fans were already psyched about the game, thanks to its excellent trailer, with many preferring its real-life setting than the sci-fi route that Call of Duty has taken. Considering how both games are always competing with each other, it will be interesting to see how they both do when they come out.
Battlefield 1 is slated for an October 21 release on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC. ?
