Battlefield 1 Beta: Start Date, Maps, And What We Know So Far

When it was first revealed, DICE and EA?s Battlefield 1 instantly became one of the most anticipated titles of 2016. Despite the players? constant worry that the game won?t be the same on launch as compared to its gameplay trailers, they are still pretty much excited to get their hands on the World War shooter. EA has scheduled an Open Beta for the game, and it?s going to give players a chance to try it out before the full game releases in October. Here?s what we know so far about the Battlefield 1 Beta.

Beta Start Date And Other Details

The Battlefield 1 beta will launch on Aug. 31, which is only a couple of days from now. It will be playable on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and through Origin for PC players. GameSpot reports that the file size of the beta has been leaked. An entry on the Xbox Store reveals that the beta?s file size is a whopping 6.2 GB. We have yet to know just how much space the beta will take up on the PS4 and PC.

Map And Game Modes

The Battlefield 1 beta will only give players a taste of what the full game will be like, so players shouldn?t expect much when it comes to how much content the beta will have. A post on the official website of Battlefield reveals that in the beta, the playable map will be the Sinai Desert. As for the playable game modes, Battlefield?s iconic Conquest mode will be available along with Rush mode. Players can expect to get their hands on some of the game?s weapons as well as the anticipated vehicles the series is known for.
Battlefield 1 will fully launch on Oct. 21. It will be playable on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
