The Battlebots Season 2 premiere will be happening in less than a day, which will mark the start of teams competing against each other to bag the trophy this season. As fans eagerly wait for the high-octane, metal-clanging, shrapnel-loaded rumble to kick off, here are the things you need to know about the competition as well as where to watch each episode online.
The upcoming season of the tournament is going to consist of 10 episodes wherein the teams will be pitted against each other in a single elimination format until only one team remains standing. According to ABC, the installment will feature next generation robots that are bigger, faster and stronger than the previous season.
Although the installment will continue to emphasize the design and build elements of each robot, the second season of the competition will also take a look at the bot builder?s backstories, their intense pursuit of the championship, and the spectacle of the event for additional drama.
Furthermore, there are going to be 48 robots to see action in the tournament, but only one will win the final trophy. With a lot of machine on hand, let us pick 5 robots which can probably cause more damage than the others. Check them out:
- Team Ambush
- Team Bombshell
- Team Chomp
- Team SubZero
- Team Warhead
Fans will have sports broadcaster Chris Rose to give a play-by-play analysis, while ex-UFC fighter Kenny Florian will be at the side for commentary. Furthermore, the show is going to be hosted by ESPN?s Samantha Ponder. Judges of the competition will include former Battlebots player Fon Davis, Jessica Chobot of the ?Nerdist,? and a special guest judge for each episode.
