Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders was announced earlier this week. It will reunite the original cast of the 1960 TV series and DC Comics fanatics are beyond excited for the release date.
The straight-to-Blu-ray animated title will feature the voices of Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar. They will voice the characters of Batman, Robin and Catwoman, respectively.
Moreover, there have been rumors that old villains will also be part of Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders cast. Among those who were hinted to return include Joker, Riddler and Penguin.
A teaser was included in Entertainment Weekly?s announcement for the new film. In it, fans can see the beloved, old-school Batman and his original antics. This means that viewers can expect the popular superhero?s known puns, props and do-or-die scenarios.
The report also revealed that Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders? release date is already scheduled later this year. The Blu-Ray version will be out on November 1, while the Digital HD version will be available on October 11.
Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders is expected to be widely followed by fans for its old school version. This is specifically after the mixed reviews of the caped crusader?s last film, Batman vs Superman. Ben Affleck?s portrayal was widely criticized and was dubbed as ?too dark? and ?too serious.?
In fact, there have been reports that Batman vs Superman won?t even compare to next year?s highly anticipated Wonder Woman. Its trailer debuted at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) earlier this year and has been receiving good reviews. Based on the teaser alone, fans are expecting that DC Comics will be able to make up for the mediocre reviews of their 2016 feature movie.
The Amazonian heroine will be played by Gal Gadot. The Israeli model is expected to prove that DC Comics does not need a man to reach box-office success.
