Batman Return to Arkham

Ever since Batman: Return to Arkham was delayed from its original July 26 release date, fans have been wondering when it would get here and how Warner Bros would make it up to them. Despite not having a new release date yet, there is a good chance that we will see some sort of special edition for the remastered collection.

Special editions are nothing new in the video game industry, but they can still be sights to behold, depending on the type of fan the game appeals to. These game editions usually have steel cases, new box art or exclusive DLC, so we will see how this fits the Arkham collection, whenever it comes out.

While a special edition for Batman: Return to Arkham has yet to be revealed, Amazon does show a ?standard? edition of the game for PS4 and Xbox One. Since the website had to point out that it was the standard edition, there is a very good chance that the Arkham remaster will be having some sort of special edition.

It is doubtful that we will see a pre-order DLC, since both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City will have all of the special content in the disc itself. The game of the year editions for both games came out some time ago, so any new DLC would have been included in those bundles for last-gen consoles.

Perhaps this possible special edition could have Arkham Origins in it? The underrated prequel was not added to the collection for unknown reasons, though it was likely due to the average reviews it got. It might not have been the best game in the series, but it did have the best boss fights, which is something Arkham Knight can’t boast about, since it has very few boss fights and they aren’t very good.

Should the collection get any sort of special edition, it will probably be a steel case cover for the game and may even have some sort of collectible added to it. There are plenty of graphic novels based on Arkham City, so we could see one of those added should Warner Bros deem it so.

Batman: Return to Arkham was supposed to come out this month on PS4 and Xbox One. It has been indefinitely delayed and there is currently no planned release date.
