Batman: The Killing Joke Animated Movie will feature Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill

The original voice actors of the classic animated series will return once again for the new Batman animated movie.

Batman: The Animated Series was one of the most popular DC cartoons of all time. The stories from each episode pay homage to some of the popular arcs in the Batman comic book series, as well as creating some new original characters. It also has two of the best voice actors that provided the most memorable voices for two of the iconic characters in the Batman franchise. Kevin Conroy (as Batman) and Mark Hamill (as The Joker) will be returning once more for the upcoming Batman: The Killing Joke Animated Movie.

There were rumors that spread about the two voice actors being involved for the Killing Joke animated movie. It was then finally confirmed by Comic Book Resources that Conroy and Hamill will reprise their roles. In a statement by Hamill for CBR, he said; ?The chance to work once again with Kevin Conroy, my favorite Batman, in what some consider the definitive origin of this iconic villain is a dream come true for me…I am beyond thrilled to return as The Joker in ‘The Killing Joke!??

Kevin Conroy also made some statements for the film. He said: ?I?ve had the great privilege of voicing Batman for more than two decades, and some of my favorite moments in the recording booth have been alongside Mark Hamill…Mark always enables me to be a better actor. I?m thrilled that we?re both back to bring these characters to life in one of the most heralded Batman/Joker stories of all time.?

The Killing Joke will also feature Tara Strong as Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl and Ray Wise as Commissioner Gordon for the animated movie. The Killing Joke was based on the hit comic book story written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Brian Bolland. It was considered as one of the best Joker stories ever created.
