NSYNC Backstreet Boys Zombie Movie

That is not a typo. Fans of the late ?90s musical sensation are sure to get down to it, as long-time boy band rivals NSYNC?and Backstreet Boys has finally decided to do a project together ? not a concert mind you, but an actual movie!

The announcement, which first came out in Rolling Stone, revealed that the jaw-dropping endeavor was confirmed by a few key members of the project. No less than BB pretty boy Nick Carter himself, wrote and conceptualized the whole movie. What will it be? A “zombie Western futuristic horror movie” ? I kid you not

In the interview, Carter pointed out that he will be playing the role of a ?good guy who?s going to save the day.? This post-apocalyptic, errr (drama, comedy, sci-fi, action??) movie, will be produced by the movie studion behind Sharknado. Yep. That?s why.

The zombie-western horror show is tentatively titled Dead 7, and is set to center around gun-slingers who draw their guns to kill a note, I mean zombies. Carter will be joined by fellow Backstreet boys, Howie Dorough and A.J. McLean as well as ?NSync?s Joey Fatone who told RS, “I get to be the drunk.” Carter also hopes to reach out to Jordan Knight from New Kids on the Block, as he wants to keep the film “musically based” ? this report is not yet confirmed however.

Cinemabled shares that the crew hopes their film can reach similar cult status as to what happened with Sharknado. It was revealed that Nick is a big horror movie fan, and even his band members can attest to his sci-fi affiliation. In fact, it was Nick who reached out for a comic book collaboration with Stan Lee back in 2000.

Carter also shared that he personally went to The Asylum, the company behind Sharknado, and they were impressed of the idea of grouping together a bunch of pop icons, and putting them in a genre-specific cinema project.

As for working with their old competitors, Fatone explained that there never has been animosity between the two boy bands.

?We’ve never done anything together collectively. People always think [we’re] some sort of rivals. But it’s so funny – there’s never been animosity or anything like that. Now we’re setting the record straight by doing a film together.?

So will Justin Timberlake also star in the movie? We highly doubt it. But then Backstreet Boys and NSYNC has just confirmed doing the project, so we believe anything is possible from here on.
