The Bachelorette Season 13 contestants are finally making their debut on ABC tonight. While we won’t know who’s getting the first impression rose until the end of the episode, spoilers have it that the lucky man is not just a charmer but noticeably more successful than usual as well. The contestant in question is none other than Dr. Bryan Absolo from Miami, Florida.
To get more acquainted with the bachelor, we’ve listed some things you might want to know about him below. Keep reading!
He is a chiropractor.
Bryan has worked as a chiropractic physician and clinic director in Miami for the last eight years. He got his start on an accident and injury team in June 2009. The handsome bachelor graduated from the University of Florida.
Bryan is the oldest contestant on Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette.
At 37, the hottie is the senior of his batch and is 5 years older than Rachel. In the Facebook Live contestant announcement video, show host Chris Harrison referred to him as “ancient.” While he’s not the oldest contestant the franchise has ever had, Bryan is certainly close. There are at least three contestants on other Bachelorette seasons who are a few years older than him.
Season 1’s Matt, who was 42 at the time of the show, is so far the oldest, followed by Season 8’s Brent Richter and Season 4’s Spero Stamboulis who were 40 and 38-years-old when they joined the competition, respectively.
Despite being the oldest, Bryan matches Rachel who is also the series’ oldest Bachelorette yet.
He is Bilingual.
Another thing that makes Bryan stand out from the rest is his bilingual heritage, which he is very much proud of. In his bio, he revealed: “I’ve spoken Spanish since I was a child. Taught to me by my mom who speaks to me primarily in Spanish.” So don’t be surprised if he speaks a little bit of the language here and there over the course of the season.
Chris Harrison named him as one of the five men to watch this season.
Harrison described Bryan as “a very charming Colombian, Latin-lover type.” Speaking to Yahoo TV, the host said the 37-year-old “definitely catches Rachel’s eye immediately out of the limo. He is good-looking, eloquent, professional, which are all attributes Rachel is immediately drawn to, so you will see a lot of Bryan [this season].”

Bryan is a family guy.
Harrison also called him “a good guy” during the Bachelorette 2017 Facebook Live video announcement and his Instagram somewhat lends some truth to that. Unlike some Bachelor Nation contestants, his social media isn’t full of nights out partying but photos of himself with female relatives or friends.
In fact, his bio even details he wants to make his own family in the future. When asked if how many kids he’d like to have, he answered 2 to 3 kids, “preferably two boys, one girl. A boy needs a little brother and they both can protect their sister.”
As previously reported, Reality Steve claimed Bryan made it to the top 3 but unfortunately, he is NOT The Bachelorette 2017 winner. Want to know who Rachel chose at the final rose ceremony? Read the full story here.
Rachel is the first black woman to headline The Bachelorette. Don’t miss her season’s premiere tonight at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
