From a pool of 22 contestants, there are still 11 ladies remaining in the competition, including the intruders. That means we’re still a couple of weeks away from knowing the recipient of the final rose. There’s no denying each of them has a competitive edge, so it can literally be anyone from the group. But Zac might have just given away a big clue as to who the lucky girl is if his Instagram is anything to go by.
Since he is the season’s bachelor, it makes sense that Zac is following his bachelorette co-stars on the photo-sharing app. However, one of the frontrunners in the race wasn’t included on the list of people he follows. Stuff reports Zac has been following Steph, Sarah, Ally, Claudia, Lucia, Katey, Lily, Molly, Taylar, Rosie, and Sophie but not Viarni, the 22-year-old outdoor enthusiast from Mount Maunganui.
Viarni has been a fan-favorite since she received the white “first impression” rose on the opening episode of The Bachelor NZ 2017. If you’re a follower of the show, you must have noticed also that Zac has grown a liking for her, giving her a rose thrice now excluding the first impression one. In the past episode, we saw Zac and her share a sweet kiss, showing their strong chemistry on camera.
A Careful Cover Up
As with any Bachelor installments, New Zealand’s version also prohibits anyone from revealing vital details about the reality dating show until it’s done airing. In a separate report, the same site detailed that all Bachelor contestants were bound to pay MediaWorks a penalty fee of $30,000 if they let slip any inside information.
Even the first season’s Art Green and Matilda Rice revealed to TVNZ previously that they had to keep their relationship secret until the first season concluded on TV to avoid spoiling the ending. Now, Stuff suggests Zac could be keeping his girl (possibly) at a distance for the same reason.
However, a few eagle-eyed fans claimed Hannah is missing from Zac’s “following” list too.
“He’s not following Hannah, so that is maybe a clue that she is the top pick. A decoy? The others are probably just girls he’s happy to follow, and that’s as far as it goes,” one commenter said. Hannah is an account executive from Invercargill who has passion in gymnastics. Zac gave her a rose during a date in Episode 7.
Does this mean she and Viarni will be the final two ladies competing for Zac’s heart? We’ll never know until the show airs its final episode. We’ll be sure to update you, though, once new information about The Bachelor NZ 2017 winner surfaces, so stay tuned!
