‘Avril Lavigne Chad Kroeger’ Divorce: The Truth Behind The Separation

By on

It was a short-lived marriage for our favorite singers as Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger and pop icon Avril Lavigne have ended their two-year marriage. Avril Lavigne recently announced their separation through her personal Instagram account with roughly about 1.8 million followers, according to Billboard.

Chad Kroeger, 40, and Avril Lavigne, 30, were engaged earlier in 2012 and were reportedly married in July 2013, according to Loudwire. After a while, a number of rumor spread that their relationship with each other was on the verge of collapsing. Unfortunately, the official statement of Avril Lavigne from her Instagram account was the first announcement straight from the couple themselves.

The pop icon addressed the fans about their untimely separation but still considers him a friend. ?It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today. Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we?ve created many unforgettable moments.?

We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other,? Lavigne stated in her Instagram post. ?To all our family, friends, and fans, thank you sincerely for the support.?

According to Mashable, although the pop star announced their separation just recently, it seemed that the couple ?has been split up for a while.? Chad Kroeger was apparently spotted in a Miami nightclub with another woman last August 18, shared by People.

?Chad came in with a woman and a security guard. He was down in the party pit by the stage, definitely out in clear, plain view ? not in the private back VIP areas,? according to a clubgoer in an interview with Us Weekly. This wasn?t the first time Avril Lavigne encountered a divorce. In 2006, Lavigne married Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley but then divorced three years later, in 2009.

In other news, Kroeger has been recently dealing with health issues. According to Loudwire, the Nickelback frontman was forced to cancel their summer and fall 2015 tour dates.
