*Speculation* Who will lead the Avengers in Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 if Cap dies in Civil War? Doctor Strange, Black Panther or Ant-Man

Last December news was truly exciting for Marvel fans. In case you didn?t know, Marvel was talking to Sony into reacquiring back one of its son, Spider-Man. BUT! Rumor has it that the negotiation between Sony and Marvel went through, as said in the report by latino-review.

CAUTION: View the link at your own risk as it contains MAJOR spoiler for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Following information contains a few spoilers from that source so tread lightly.

As said on that report, Spidey may finally make an appearance in Avengers: Infinity War Part 1. Not just that though, but all the major characters from the first and second Avengers movie won?t be making an appearance Avengers 3. As the author of that article explained, Cap will die in Civil War (just like in the comics), Thor will be imprisoned in Thor: Ragnarok and Iron Man is M.I.A.

As for the leader of the Avengers in Avengers: Infinity War, these are the only heroes I can come up with?even though he mentioned a few names on that article.

Three candidates for the ?leader? role of the Avengers in Avengers: Infinity War

These characters are pure speculations and in no way official. They may or may not appear in Avengers: Infinity War.

  • ?Black Panther? T?Challa? Most likely Marvel character that can replace Captain America when he dies in the Captain America: Civil War. He is the wealthiest man in the Marvel Universe both cinematic AND comics as said on this chart from comicbookresources. Another major point is that, he rules the fictional African nation Wakanda thus giving him a huge leap compared to Scott Lang and Doctor Strange when it comes to organizational skills.
  • ?Ant-Man? Scott Lang ? Scott Lang is included in this list because of one thing and one thing only, in the Ant-Man movie coming this year, it was shown there that Hank Pym gave him his suit?assuming he will also mentor him in the movie. If the assumption is correct then he can be a candidate for the position because Hank Pym is one of the most respected heroes in the comics. He can maybe act as an advisor to Scott Lang.
  • ?Doctor Strange? Stephen Strange ? Another ideal character to lead the Avengers in Avengers: Infinity War. One trait that makes him a wonderful leader is that he is also smart?due to his knowledge of the mystic arts and as you can see on his power grind on his Marvel wiki page. Because of the absence of Cap, Tony, Bruce (yep, he is also missing as said in latino-review) and Thor, he is the only person smart enough to lead the Avengers, other than T?Challa because let?s face it, he?s busy running his own nation.

Sony denies the rumor that Spider-Man will return to Marvel and will appear on Phase 3

comicbookmovie recently contacted Sony about the rumor and a studio representative said that it is an ?Old Rumor? and ?No Validity Whatsoever?.

It?s true at what the author of that post said, ?there’s really no way of knowing how to take this as denials have sometimes been proved wrong, and were other times spot on. It’s a guessing game!?

What are your thoughts? Are these denials true or will we really get to see Spider-Man in Avengers: Infinity War?
