Sony Xperia T2 Ultra will soon come to Australia for AU$499, rumors said.

Sony?s next evolution in large-screen smartphone design – the Xperia T2 Ultra will be available in Australia?s Sony Centres, Sony Kiosks and online for AU$499. It will also be available to non-Sony retailers at AU$549 which includes a Bluetooth headset priced at AU$79.

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra was specifically designed for customers from emerging markets in China, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific rim. Sony said that Xperia T2 Ultra will bring together the best of Sony?s imaging and display technologies with ground-breaking design efficiency to produce a stunning LTE3 Android smartphone at a mid-range price point.

During its launching earlier this year, Calum MacDougall, Director of Xperia Marketing at Sony Mobile Communications said, ?Xperia T2 Ultra will lead the category through its combination of advanced display and camera technologies, it will bring large-screen entertainment in an amazingly portable form factor and it will do it all whilst providing incredible value for money.” He added, ?Its large HD display will deliver big screen entertainment on the go whilst the efficiency of the design will allow it to remain the world?s most portable large screen smartphone.?

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is designed to give intense entertainment on a large HD display with integrated movies and music out-of-the-box. Sony claims that Xperia T2 Ultra is the world?s most portable large-screen smartphone with 6? HD display. It comes with a slim, lightweight and easy to use design with one-handed operation features.

Moreover, Sony Xperia T2 Ultra also offers the best camera to take great pictures and enhanced ?selfie? apps like Portrait retouch. Other apps available are collage, background defocus, timeshift burst and sweep panorama.

Sony Xperia T2 also comes with pre-loaded applications (though not available in all markets) which includes Google Chrome, Google Play, Google Voice Search, Google search, Google Maps for Mobile with Street view and Latitude, Google Talk application, Sony Select, and Web browser (WebKit).
