Last month, Koei Tecmo confirmed the release of the Attack on Titan game, entitled ?Escape from Certain Death? on the Nintendo 3DS platform. According to the news, Japan will receive the game on March 30, 2017 when it launches on both Standard and Treasure Box Edition. The game will follow the Attack on Titan manga storyline, wherein players are put in a compromising situation of having to survive certain death while fighting against Titans with none or very limited weapons.
According to Crunchyroll, the Treasure Box version of the game, which costs ?12,800 or approximately $118, will include the base game as well as a visual book. Aside from that, fans will also get two waterproof posters, soundtrack, six large tin badges and the Mikasa and Levi 3DS themes with downloadable code for voices.
Attack on Titan Game Editions
The first print copies of both the Standard and Treasure Box editions will also have the voice and theme downloads of the Attack on Titan game. The Standard Edition, on the other hand, is currently priced at 5,800 yen or approximately US$53.
The storyline of the Attack on Titan game is about the main character (player) investigating an abandoned castle outside the city walls. When he falls to the basement of the castle, the need to escape becomes the challenge that will determine the player?s chance of survival. Fighting beasts and Titans, the Anime News Network revealed that the player must seek the help of allies in order to escape the ordeal. Allies will be familiar and since the game follows the storyline of the Attack on Titan manga series, characters in the series will also appear on the Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death game as the (player?s) allies.
Meanwhile, Attack on Titan Season 2 is all set to return to the small screen on the fall of 2017. Fans of the series will soon be able to follow the story of Eren, Mikasa, Krista, Ymir and the rest of team soon.
