Following the announcement of the Zenfone 3 lineup recently, Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 has now been showcased in China. The smartphone caters to audiences looking to get their hands on budget-friendly devices.

As noted by TechPP, the Pegasus 3, like the recently unveiled Zenfone 3, boasts of a metal chassis that lends it the premium feel. The offering sports a 5.2-inch HD display and hides a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor with 2GB or 3GB RAM under the hood. The 2GB model comes with a 16GB storage while the 3GB RAM features a 32GB internal storage. Thankfully, there?s a microSD card slot for anyone who would like to increase the storage onboard.

Strapped onto its rear panel is a 13MP camera with LED flash, and there is a 5MP front-facing snapper for all that selfie love. The back panel of the Pegasus 3 also features the fingerprint scanner. As expected for the OS, the device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a layer of ZenUI 3.0. One of the key features of the smartphone is its 4,100mAh that is said to keep the device powered up for over a day on a single charge.

The offering will be available drenched in shades of gold, rose gold and gray colors. The release date of the device has not been revealed but it should be out soon. It isn?t known at this point in time whether the handset will be making its way out of China. It sure will be pitted against some of the latest devices that have come out from the stables of Redmi and LeEco.

The Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 starts at a base price of $200 targeting those buyers looking for a pocket-friendly smartphone. It is the company?s newly announced Zenfone 3 series for anyone looking for a more premium device from Asus. As for the Pegasus 3, it sure has tough competition out there with offerings boasting of similar specs at a lower price point.
