Asus is welcoming 2017 with a bang with their newest product in the monitor category. The Asus ROG Swift PG27UQ isn’t your everyday gaming monitor. As a matter of fact, this monstrous 27-inch display features a support for High Dynamic Range, as well as NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology. And if that’s not enough, its specifications provided below will definitely blow any competing brands in the gaming monitor industry out of the water.

Apparently, this gaming monitor’s name is still not official, given that Asus hadn’t planned on unveiling its flagship monitor just yet. Furthermore, this hell of a monitor doesn’t only have G-Sync and HDR, it also has 4K resolution with an ultra-fast refresh rate of 144Hz. It also uses an In-Plane Switching Panel or also known as IPS panel.
According to Asus, the LED backlight is dynamically controlled across 384 zones. Hence, there will be a very high contrast for more natural dark scenes, as well as richer image. In addition, PG27UQ’s Quantum-dot technology will provide brighter image and will also support cinema-standard DCI-P3 color gamut.
For those who are unaware, compared to sRGB, DCI-P3 has 25% wider color range. Hence, it will result in more realistic colors.
