Assassin's Creed TV Show

Fans of the video game Assassin’s Creed will surely be glad to know that Ubisoft has finally announced that a TV series of the title is in the works already. The news came during an “Ask Me Anything” session on Reddit with the game’s head of content Aymar Azaizia. Here are all the details he shared online.

Azaizia made the confirmation when a fan asked about the rumored TV show project. According to his statement, Ubisoft is indeed for the program. It can be recalled that the company’s CEO Yves Guillemot mentioned last year something about talking with Netflix about a series. Now, it is finally clear what show they were talking about.

Now, another fan asked Azaizia about details of the upcoming TV program. However, he did not disclose any because they are not hurrying things up. The head of content then added that they will take their time to “get sure we deliver something we can be proud of.” With that statement in hand, it is safe to assume that its premiere would not come anytime soon.

Assassin’s Creed TV Show Plot

As of writing, there is no information yet as to what the program’s story will be. According to GameRant, it is as well not clear who will be the assassin to lead the show. Also, it remains a mystery whether or not the show will focus on one or several assassin ancestors. For now, the only thing available is that Ubisoft is working on the show.

Assassin's Creed TV Show Plot

Meanwhile, recent speculations suggest that the upcoming TV program could be related to the 2016 movie featuring Michael Fassbender. Then again, it is not clear if it would be a continuation of the story or would be a prequel of it. However, if Ubisoft would really relate the program to the movie, there are concerns that it might end up as a failure as well.

The same GameRant post noted that the movie received poor reviews. This is the reason behind all the worrying online. If Ubisoft would make the same mistake, they might end up ruining the entire Assassin’s Creed franchise. That fact would then give the pressure to the company to deliver something great that would capture the audience’s interest.

For now, the only thing to do is wait for Ubisoft to disclose more information about the Assassin’s Creed TV show. But, how about you? What do you think would be the plot of the program? When do you think it would premiere? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
