?Assassin?s Creed Syndicate? Gameplay News: Gamescom Attendees Finally Get First Look Of Much-Awaited Twin Assassins, Deadly Skills And Weapons Revealed!

By on

Finally after teasing about the new character from E3 with a video trailer, Ubisoft lets the attendees of Gamescom witness the gameplay of the new character Evie Frye. Evie is the twin sister of Jacob Frye and both have major roles in the upcoming game.

The gameplay demo shows a new mission in London where you must infiltrate a tower and take out the British Templar. In this case, Evie is more of a stealth character, so she relies more in hiding rather than taking enemies head on unlike Jacob, although she has some equipment similar with her brother (including the hookshot). She has a new ability called the Cameleon ability where she can become totally invisible to any guards when performing a stealth crouch, as long as no guards discovers her performing the Cameleon ability or just remain stationary, she will remain invisible.

The developers explained that Evie is not actually ?invisible? but rather blending well in the environment, thus having an invisible effect in the game, it only cues that the player is invisible to the enemies, but she is actually blending in the environment to become undetectable.

The Tower mission is one of the ?black box? mission found in Assassin?s Creed Syndicate; these are mini missions found in certain areas in the game, which was heavily borrowed from last year?s Assassin?s Creed Unity. So instead of repeating the whole mission again when they die, they can continue where they left off once respawned to a higher location.

There are many ways to finish the Tower mission, you can befriend a certain NPC outside the tower to help get inside for an easy kill, or pick-pocket a guard outside to open the tower?s gate, or you can do the old-fashioned way; climbing the tower.

Assassin?s Creed Syndicate got inspirations from other games to make it more polished. From the stealth system to the character switching, hopefully this game would surpass the previous titles as fans look for a much unique game.

Expect to see Assassin?s Creed Syndicate for the PC and consoles this October.
