Ubisoft is hard pressed on developing the next Assassin’s Creed game and they really should considering how its past entries have put the series in a bad light. The developer could release the game next year and there’s still a lot of time to polish the game. Assassin’s Creed Origins is set to bring back the series to its glory days but it can’t do so without learning from past titles.

The recent entries in the series have been criticized by even the biggest Assassin’s Creed fans. Perhaps Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag is one of the last amazing entries in the series. While developing Assassin’s Creed Origins, Ubisoft could learn a few things from the past entries in the series.

Polish It First

The 2014 entry; Assassin’s Creed Unity was known for having some of the most terrifying, but funniest bugs in gaming. The game’s launch was the laughing stock of the community and to this day, memories are still fresh from Unity’s horrible launch version. It was obvious that Ubisoft somehow rushed the game out.

Players are expecting a lot from Assassin’s Creed Origins and if Ubisoft doesn’t sort out major bugs before the game’s launch, then it could be the end of the series. The bugs should be kept to a minimum at launch unless Ubisoft wants to become the laughing stock again.

Exploration Is Key

One of the best parts of Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag was the exploration. While upgrading and taking care of the Jackdaw was good and all, what made the game fun was exploring the vast ocean and the several islands that Edward Kenway can fully explore.

The recent leak regarding the upcoming Assassin’s Creed reveals that there’s a chance that exploration on water will be back in again. Since the next game is set in Egypt, we can’t expect the same setup as with Black Flag but we’re hoping that Ubisoft puts a lot of emphasis on exploration.

Ubisoft introduced multiplayer into the series in Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. Fans were skeptical about competitive multiplayer at first but it turned out pretty amazing as it was very thrilling to have to face off against another assassin. We’ve yet to know what gameplay features the next game will have but fans are hoping that competitive multiplayer makes a return with a few improvements.
