Assassin’s Creed: Comet Plot, Characters, Release Date and Features: Game Hitting Earth this 2014 [Rumors]

By on

Assassin?s Creed, the most exhilarating franchise from Ubisoft?s portfolio, is back with a vengeance.

The series introduced gamers to the cosmic empire of the Templars and the insidious activities of Abstergo. Fans easily became enamored with its peerless gestalt and intriguing plot. Who can forget its flamboyant?characters? Remember the mighty Ezio Auditore, an impetuous yet spry vigilante with a salient accent? Or Altair, the pioneer assassin, a cutthroat and soulless crusader and of course who can forget Desmond Miles, an insipid bartender turned fugitive?

No one can deny Assassin?s Creed?s unprecedented financial success in the gaming world. Ubisoft looks to add even more with the leaked game: Assassin?s Creed: Comet.

Here are some titillating and juicy details.

According to rumors, the Atlantic maritime adventure game will star a sailor named Shay who dastardly betrays the captain of his ship, set in the year 1758 in the hypnotic backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean. The latest outing will continue the nautical theme, established by last year?s game Assassin?s Creed IV: Black Flag. Shay is identified to be a member of the Templar confederacy who becomes embroiled in the Angle-Franklish conflicts of the Seven Years War.

Some sources indicate a link to continental New York and a playable Templar as the main character. Players can freely travel New York and do a great deal of sailing along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Speculation is that the “Comet” in the title may refer to Hailey’s comet, which visited Earth in 1758.

In addition, fan favorite Haytham Kenway and Adewal? will make appearances/cameos, among other returning AC characters. The game is said to be an amalgamation between Assassin?s Creed III and the Freedom Cry DLC for Assassin?s Creed IV.

The installment is slated for a release this fall, available for current generation consoles: PS3 and the XBOX 360. Wii U and PC versions are yet to be publicly confirmed. The future of this wonderful franchise is stronger than ever, with numerous outing in the works.

Don?t forget to check out its little brother: Assassin?s Creed Unity.
