Previous reports suggested that Apple will be launching Apple Watch 2 along with iPhone 5se and iPad Air 3 at an event in March. However, it turns out that it will not be the case this time.
Yearly upgrade from the company has led everyone to believe that Apple would be launching the second generation of Watch this March, but Adrian Kingsley of ZDNet notifies that the supposed Apple Watch 2 may not feature alongside iPad Air 3 and iPhone 5se.
Earlier rumors stated that this year?s March event will bring new bands for the wearable which includes a Sports Band and a black Milanese loop band. It seems that Apple has sensed no real pressure to take on the rival companies so it makes sense to wait for it.
It is well known that Apple is good at setting a trend in the smartphone industry and provides unique features as well as it fares well in the market. Knowing this, Apple is trying to project the Apple Watch as a luxury item and it has been quite successful in it, as expected. Thus in order to make a timeless piece, which doesn?t go out of date quickly, Apple is holding back on the wearable launch.
Moreover, the Cupertino-based company is still working on to get more users to buy the wearables instead of plugging an upgraded version to those early buyers. Apple intends to expand its user base so it?s necessary for the company to unveil the upgrades slowly, reports Value Walk.
As this is the case, the publication notifies that since the wearable technology doesn?t have a long-term arc of a smartphone or a tablet, it is very unlikely to induce more functionality into a smartwatch at this stage.
So, Apple Watch fans will have to wait for some more time to get hold of the second generation of the Apple Watch as it would be to have minor upgrade to the wearable.
