It is a well-known fact that Apple was intending to acquire Jay Z?s widely-popular music streaming service ?Tidal.? Music enthusiasts might know that the hip hop star Jay Z is also an astute entrepreneur and an investor. While the Apple vs. Tidal deal is still going on, rapper Kanye West just chimed-in with his entertaining series of tweets about the iPhone maker.

Phone Arena, citing analyst Gene Munster, says Apple will be paying?about $500 million to get the music streaming service from Jay Z. This is a killer deal because Jay Z purchased Tidal last year for just $56 million.

Even though more information about the deal is unknown to the public, it is understandable that negotiations of this kind take time to materialize. Apple is not going to shell out more cash than it should to purchase Tidal. It may not be all about the cash, but also about the potential gain Apple would be making in case the purchase works out.

But then West could not wait any longer. He wants Apple to purchase Tidal as soon as possible and settle the deal. In a series of tweets, he spoke about the Apple vs. Tidal ?beef.? However, we feel there is literally no ?issue? there. Either the negotiation is going on, or the deal fell through already. Whatever be the case, West is clearly not happy to see Apple delaying the decision to buy his friend?s Tidal.

In a series of tweets, he said ?This Tidal Apple beef is f***ing up the music game.? This was followed by ?I need Tim Cook Jay Z Dez Jimmy Larry me and Drake Scooter on the phone or in a room this week!!!? However, he didn?t say what he was planning to do to fix the issue.

Finally, he concluded by saying ?Apple give Jay his check for Tidal now and stop trying to act like you[r] Steve.? He clearly wasn?t happy with Apple and for some reason, Steve as well.

Perhaps, West didn?t forget the former Apple CEO Steve Jobs? role in changing the music industry via iTunes. For the most part, the music industry and Apple share a symbiotic relationship. But then, Pandora CFO Mike Herring infamously said ?Jobs eviscerated the music industry with the launch of iTunes and it’s been downhill ever since.? However, later, Herring felt he shouldn?t have said that,?SMH noted.

We hope the Apple vs. Tidal negotiations continue, so that we get entertained by West?s incessant tweets.
